Column examines the recent Sports Illustrated columnist Peter King’s NFL, when the former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman deserves a place in the Hall of Fame. After the terrorist attacks of 11 September in New York, Tillman left the NFL and their contracts for millions of dollars to join the army of the United States. He was apparently killed by  friendly fire  while in Afghanistan. Tillman does not think King deserves a Hall of Fame and I Tillman is a hero, can not be denied. But the NFL Hall of Fame is not for heroes. Player is to recognize excellence in the field. Period. . .

The NBA season is not over yet and I am of the media coverage surrounding LeBron James free agency tired. . .
I see no tennis fan but I respect the sport and the physical demands imposed on their players. Who has played the game knows that it is difficult and tiring. Therefore I pay tribute to Roger Federer. Until yesterday, Federer reached the semifinals in 24 consecutive Grand Slam tournaments from 2004. Yesterday was beaten by someone named Robin Soderling at the French Open. Some claim that Federer the best tennis player ever. This series is strong evidence to support the request. . .

What a shame to think, when induced, the Yankees P Javier Vazquez had a corner turned his impressive performance against the Mets last week. Yankee fans knew better than not fool with this model. Vazquez returned to the mound last night and was crushed by the line of the twins. The statistics say he threw 112 pitches sheet in 5.2 innings while providing five points, but the reality was much worse. If not for two great works of Mark Teixeira, the Twins have scored at least three races. They smashed the places Vázquez point he feared for the lives of two Yankees fans and the present. Vazquez could not handle pitching in the American League and it’s time that management accepts Yankees. . . Ah, of course, the Yankees lost 8-2. . .
